We are all individuals and unique. Our serious shoes, literally speaking, can vary. For some women, those black Louboutins often denoted as a power shoe ( I tend to like the BB pump), soft black oxfords for men, a pair of boots to ride on your motorcycle or navy blue suede pumps against the sunlight worn well with any pair of pants! The shoes you shouldn’t have to think about so much. (I am speaking versatility here.) I mean, when it snows, you put your furry boots on and say, I’m still on my way! For now, slide them on. Move along!!! Everything is circumstantial is what I have always felt. Rather, a time and a place for everything. Well not quite ‘everything’.
The autumn leaves have almost all fallen, the nights are colder and it’s about time to take out the winter coats. Well, there is still time for suede heels AND on a more serious note, the year is not over yet. Whether you may also want to simply end the year on a positive note or are working on a project that you intend to have set in place by year’s end, use this Friday before Thanksgiving to NOT get mixed up in the little things but to stay the course. (Well, I am there with you and am going to do as I say. Once again, perhaps why i feel compelled to share these thoughts here even if few may read at this time.)
Don’t stop believing, calling, troubleshooting, experimenting, implementing, creating, executing, asking questions, getting feedback or doing whatever it is you feel in your gut you need to do. Some will understand you. Others will not. Some will say oh yes! Love it! Another may look at you like you are quite crazy and getting yourself into a mess. One thing I have learned is there is only so much you can take advice. You must seek the help of others but ultimately, you must push forward with your own willpower.
You might be embarrassed or feeling vulnerable some days and not always looking your best. You may wish you were less wired or anxious, more ‘put together’ or had mascara on when you met with someone unplanned that you were excited to meet. Oh well! Done with. That was Tuesday. This is Friday!
I’d like to finesse my words and fix all my posts to be near perfect for SEO standards (alright… i’ll come back later on that one) BUT there’s only so much time in the world and while this space has become more a space of expression, I am more apt to embrace this mode of authenticity and subdued confessions. (I may soon switch my content to a new domain, aka ‘Eileen Marie’.) After all, as I have said, ‘Fabulous Soles’ became more a sense of ‘symbolism’ and state of mind to me which may be best continued with a fresh ‘brand’. TBD…..
Let’s remember that line…’Have no fear of perfection. You will never reach it. – Salvador Dali
There is a see saw of trying perhaps and striving to be your most excellent while executing is vital. Another way to look at the reality of the moment.
What are you going to do?!

Above are a selection of ‘heels’ with prowess and a sturdy backbone, fierce but no nonsense all at at once. To be specific, I tend to gravitate toward pumps with a block heel for support. Those that won’t get you ‘stuck in the cracks’! Even with a pointy toe, this can make all the world of difference.
I know in some settings, Fridays seem to have this casual feel. All is well, but the sun is shining, see the light! You will get taken more seriously when you look serious in the eyes and on your soles!
Rather, you likely take yourself more seriously when you look like you care more.
Trust me! Speaking from experience.
