How do you like this man’s ensemble? A gray suit paired with striking cognac monk straps for the 2nd post to continue with the intentional all the while spontaneous effort of capturing ‘Men with Sole’ aka those men with a striking but unique style, and always with stellar shoes. (They need not be cognac or brown or tan despite the first two features) The goal is not to zone in on dress shoes or men in suits, rock stars, artists or any one particular style but those men who either know how to make a bold statement and can pull it off or those who simply catch my eye. Well worn leather and rugged are eye catching but its the look that matters. I saw a guy wearing some fun trainers the other day and those can be just as photo worthy and interesting.
This man from Germany has a great sense of style and taste in shoes; if I don’t say so myself! I am deeming this as an exemplary feature! Visiting with his son and family, he was a great sport. He did not remember the name of the designer so ‘bought in Italy’ will need to suffice here. These monk straps look worn in but not terribly so and a little scuff adds character. Not really knowing so much about the variety of monk straps, what seems special about these is that they are 3 buckle and from a brief search, 3 buckle monk straps are not so common at the moment. This man’s belt is also spot as he seems very coordinated. Maybe some would say too much so but he pulls it off. Socks are even gray. Admittedly I like to see men that do not mind wearing some colored socks (hello Happy Socks!) but with brown that surely would collide so he has the dark gray and light gray pants in sync.
