Always in search of the a shoe that fits my vision and style, I recently discovered AELYT.  AELYT is a new venture founded by Stefano Parella and Alessandro Ceruti, featuring fully customizable couture designs, 101% made in Italy, for women and men. You choose from various designs in their collection and select the fabric and color for each part of the shoe.

Shoes are truly personal and reflect our individual personalities, energy, and emotions. Everyone has a favorite color and some of us are obsessed with suede while others are loyal to patent leather. Similarly women might find a style they love and want to order it in various color or textures.

Customizing a shoe from AELYT’s collection might have you overwhelmed since you have the option to choose from a large selection of materials and colors but is exciting nonetheless.

Whether seeking an every day heel in your favorite color and fabric or you want a heel to wear for a special occasion, you have the options to customize every part of the shoe from the straps to platform and stems.

I chose the EVA in a traditional red suede since I have had my heart on an eye catching red suede sandal with a high heel but comfortable enough to walk in. The ankle strap with a unique design is a nice alternative to the more common criss cross sandal. Although suede is more delicate and needs more care, I am a big fan of spring and summer suede. (just don’t forget the suede protectant spray!) Suede always adds a luxurious element to the shoe! Of course though, this shoe would not have the same appeal without the contrasting black patent leather. A chic and glamorous touch. I will admit it is also great for women like me that are rough with their shoes. The back of a shoe gets scratched most often and patent leather will not show the damage  as easily. Trust me!

Just under 5 inches (120 mm) and a covered platform for a cleaner look, the EVA is a lovely shoe! Two other summer designs I really liked as well were the Sissi and Cheyenne.

Below, wearing my EVA sandals with a black Ted Baker zip detail dress on my birthday this past Sunday! They are quite comfortable as well. The right shoes (and great friends) can make any woman’s birthday fabulous!
